    Located in Banjar and Halon valleys in the Mandla / Balaghat districts of the state of Madhya Pradesh, Kanha National Park is Kipling country with the nearby forests being the setting for ‘The Jungle Book’ by Rudyard Kipling. It is an outstanding national park and a wildlife reserve of Central India, renowned as one of India's finest tiger reserves and noted for its last remaining population of the Swamp Deer. Spread over more than 940 sq km in a horse shoe shaped valley and bound by the spurs of the Mekal range, the park presents a varied topography.

    While Pench National Park is primarily a reserve for tigers and panthers. It is also home to the sambhar, chital, barking deer, nilgai, black buck, gaur, wild boar, chausingha, sloth bear, wild dog, langur, monkey, mouse deer, black-naped hare, jackal, fox, hyena, porcupine, and flying squirrel. There are over 285 species of resident and migratory birds including the Malabar Pied Hornbill, Indian Pitta, Osprey, Grey-headed Fishing Eagle, White-eyed Buzzard, etc. to be found in this wilderness wonder.

  • Day 1

    Arrive Nagpur and drive to Kanha

    Meet our representative upon arrival in Nagpur and take the drive to Kanha (260 kms /approx 5.5 hours), home to one of the largest tiger populations in the country. If you’re lucky, you might just spot one. The Sal forests and vast meadows contain tigers and leopards and support huge populations of deer and antelope, including the extremely rare barasingha. After reaching, check-in at the hotel for dinner and stay overnight at Kanha.

    Day 2

    Go deep into the forest and enjoy a complete safari experience in Kanha

    Enjoy the early morning Jungle Safari in the park. Come back to your hotel for breakfast. Post lunch enjoy the evening Jungle Safari. Alternatively, you may plan independent activities to explore the richness of this park through Nature Trails - a well-marked 7km trail leading from just inside Khatiya Gate and skirting along the edge of the park before looping back to the village. Mostly you will see a lot of monkeys and birds, but tigers do venture into this area on occasions and an accompanying guide is essential (supplement cost applies for escorting). Stay overnight in Kanha.

    Day 3

    Drive from Kanha to Pench

    This morning after breakfast proceed to Pench (140 kms/approx 3.5 Hours). Pench National Park conjures up images of Mowgli and Bagheera, immortalized by Rudyard Kipling in The Jungle Book. The river Pench, which splits the National Park into two, forms the lifeline of the Park. Arrive Pench and check-in to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight in Pench.

    Day 4

    Safari in Pench

    Early in the morning, proceed for a Jungle Safari in the park.     Drive from Pench to Nagpur | Departure from Nagpur

    After breakfast, proceed to the Nagpur airport (160 Kms/ approx. 4 hours) to board your flight back home. Return home with fond memories of living ‘The Jungle Book’ experience.

    • Tadoba is closed on Tuesday for both Safaris.
    • Canter Safaris on spot booking has started in Kanha, Bandhavgarh & Pench. Medium vehicle will be provided for 1-3 travellers and Innova will be provided for 4-5 travellers. If applicable, there will be mandatory supplement on Christmas and New Year. Keeping with the heightened security procedures at all hotels we request all guests to carry a photo-identity with address proof to present at check-in. Foreign nationals are required to present their Passport and valid visa. Indian nationals can present any one of the following: Passport, Driving License, Voter ID card, Aadhaar Card or Bank Pass Book with Photograph. PAN cards are not allowed. Early check-ins or late check-outs will be subject to availability and charged as per hotel policy. The rates are valid for the dates of travel and hotels as indicated.
